ABOUT US

The Sanderum Centre, established for over 24 years, operates across 3-site locations; 1 site in Chinnor and 2 further sites in Thame. Our core activity is providing fully serviced office space on short, flexible terms, with all essential operating costs included. Clients choose our serviced offices with purpose – increasingly recognising the enhanced monetary and time value that’s added to their business when they are relieved of the burden of all aspects of building management and compliance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have witnessed significant change in how clients operate their businesses over recent years.  As a result, it is vital that we continue to adjust and align our own business offerings accordingly. As the emphasis on mandatory compliance continues to grow in significance, we are now formalising this into a dedicated role and the primary responsibility for one team member, reflecting our commitment to providing a seamless experience and compliant workspace for all clients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities – Building Compliance / Health & Safety (3-sites)

  • Record audit
  • Ensure uniformity in compliance standards across all three locations
  • Conduct and oversee Fire Risk Assessments (3-year cycle) and implement all necessary changes
  • Manage mains testing (5-year cycle) and electrical equipment testing (Sanderum team / equipment)
  • Client obligations – EET
  • Facilitate fire marshal training and first aid training for the team
  • Thame site-specific responsibility – conduct weekly fire tests, monthly emergency lighting tests, and yearly evacuations.

Additional Responsibilities – Reception Duties

  • Welcome visitors with a warm, engaging, and professional manner
  • Handle telephone answering and message facilitation for both TSC and clients (office-based and virtual)
  • Manage kitchen and stationery supplies
  • Coordinate courier services
  • Perform printing, binding, and collation tasks
  • Perform secretarial and administrative duties
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Program door entry and intruder alarm fobs
  • Maintain and update the “Building Bible”
  • Assist NEW clients by issuing welcome packs, guiding them through security procedures, coordinating furniture removal and/or additional furniture, and managing the redecoration of office(s) as clients vacate
  • Handle photocopier and franking machine pin-code setup
  • Oversee IT tasks, including network switch/patching, broadband, and VoIP telephony, liaising with Holler on any issues
  • Chinnor site cover when the Centre Manager is on holiday.

KEY SKILLS

The ideal candidate will excel in prioritising workloads, thrive under pressure, and find fulfilment in a customer-facing role, particularly in reception, providing exceptional service to resident clients and visitors. The ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanour is essential, as is a proficient level of IT skills, encompassing Microsoft Packages such as Exchange, Excel, and Word.

NB: The above list is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may arise.
